Thank you for the way that you've chosen to share anti-matter with the world! I decided to subscribe after seeing Thursday in September last year. Pretty sure there was a postcard or something on the merch booth. Anyway, despite growing up in the DC area, and my mother being friends with Ian MacKaye's father, I'm quite new to the ~hardcore scene~ as it were. But I've absolutely loved reading your posts. I've found myself becoming more integrated into the local music scene where I'm at, as opposed to *only* attending big-name stadium shows, and I've had a lot of fun and actually feel connected to the community around me for the first time maybe ever. So thanks for inspiring people and sharing your stories!

"...as much about humanism as it is about hardcore", well said.

As always a fascinating read. I really like the line: “How the hell did you pull that off? The answer was almost always: math..” it reminded me of something Henri Poincaré once said, “mathematics is the art of giving the same name to different things..When language has been well chosen one is astonished to find that all demonstrations made for a known object apply immediately to many new objects: nothing requires to be changed not even the terms, since the names have become the same.” Well I better stop rambling, by the way am looking forward to the interview later this week never heard of that band before. It is always delightful to discover new music.

Thank you for sharing this with us in such an open way Norman. Your honesty and openness in your writing along with your unique perspectives are what make this zine so good.

I am truly very thankful you've brought this back and look forward to reading each piece regardless of whether I know the band/person because I know it will be an engaging read and I will learn something every time.

As for the business model I commend you and hope you are able to continue doing this for some time. Something to consider is offering higher subscription rates for those that can afford it. I'd rather pay a little more and keep this going than save a little and lose it.

As always thank you for all you do and see you on tour this February!!!

Why did MRR reject all those labels? Distribution through Caroline or Relativity? "Revelation Records is not punk" is such an odd take.

This was a time when hardcore and punk bands were evolving outside of traditional takes of what hardcore and punk were: pop and metal and rock influences were becoming more normal, and in the wake of Nirvana, MRR decided they needed to take a hard stance against change. A lot of the bands on these labels took the brunt.
