To echo what others have already said, between your writing and listening to HardLore every week, a lot of the macho bullshit that kept me at arm's length from hardcore for a long time has fallen away, and all this simultaneous with such a creative, vital time for the music, it's great.
Also, I think the next merch drop should be a classic straight-edge style t-shirt with the crowd photo on the back, ANTI-MATTER above the photo, and PURITY IS NOT REAL below it.
In 2012 deafheaven put out a split 7 inch where they covered two songs by Mogwai and played them back to back turning it into a 10 minute masterpiece. And I thought I really like how the members of deafheaven think. When I listen to mogwai the last thing I think of is that their songs would make a great metal cover. Completely game- changing idea. (A cliche phrase put seems appropriate in this context)
Also interesting side note about Norway. Norway’s government passed a law in 1977 making it mandatory that workers has to have a say in any technical developments aimed at their work. (Nothing hardcore about that last statement but still interesting to pass along)
