Title Fight happened in a time where I was fully disconnected from hardcore and Glitterer (as Ned alone) was one of the first bands I saw when I came back into it.
I had a visceral reaction to it where I both did not enjoy the band and knew there was something real to appreciate in it. This interview really captures that for me, there is thoughtfulness and intentionality that seems inherent to how Ned interacts with the world that pulls me in.
I loved how many little anecdotes of making a choice and accepting the consequences of those choices ran through this (literally the beginning and end, from rejecting the false binary of broken up or not broken up to the mail key).
My gf loves Ned so much has always dragged me to glitterer shows even tho I would have rather eaten glass than listened to a laptop go beep boop over and over while he did a herky jerky Q and not u impression. Last few shows have been dope tho with the full band. Great stage presence by all the members, chick on keyboard shreds, tallest guitar player I’ve ever Seen shredding the solos and drummer just hitting the sticks hard as hell. So sick. It’s great to see an evolution like this. Ned if you are reading this and would be willing to be a cuckold slide into the DMs.
I will be seeing Glitterer next month. I missed the bus on title fight. Was going through what became many years of personal life "struggles" during title fights existence
It's never too late. :) you can juml on the title fight bus now, it is definitely worth it. A unique body of work that I promise you can't do anything else besides being impressed by it
I apologize if Im liking/commenting on a lot of articles in quick succession; school has been kicking my ass.
I just want to shout out how natural of an interviewer you are. While some of it can be learned through practice and editing, but I think you have a real natural gift for connecting with people, regardless if they are your close friends, or subjects you are less familiar with. You ask open ended questions and just let your subjects talk. I don't know how much you edit, what you keep raw, but it has a natural flow, that reads of pure conversation that leads to some really interesting insights.

I'm so glad you caught that thread. As I was transcribing it, I was really happy with how these bizarre connections were being made all over!
Great writing. I loved this. Met Ned in pdx last year, nicest dude. Thanks for sharing.

I have jumped on that bus...just never got a chance to see them...:)
To be fair...I think most people are straight edge at the age of 7...;)
